Non-technical Explanations: 2 deals with things like standards, usability, i18n, etc. 3 covers things like doc writing, wiki, maintenance, welcome wagon, etc. * Zuu asked: Where will content(art, 3d models, sound etc.) go? Answer: Both the non-technical and Technical, but not code section was suggested. No clear decision was made. * Group leaders that was nominated, and agreed on. (Hellfire, and Hyronymus, haven't agreed yet): * Hellfire as lead of Code-related (1) * Chris as lead of Technical, but not code (2) * Hyronymus as lead of Non-technical (3) * No leader on top, for now. If needed, we will choose one later. * Each group will have their own meetings. But keep the rest informed. - 2. Discussions - 2.1 [RFD] Construction of stations in cities * VOTE: Should buildings have an individual rating, showing how the town will react to the destrucution of such a building? RESULT: Yes * VOTE: Everyone agree that stations above/below towns will need extra co just equate them into normal construction costs for the bridge, tunnel or on? RESULT: Yes * The maintenance costs will just be split between normal station and tunnel/bridge maintenance costs, if I understand correctly. - 2.2 [RFD] Constructing roads * Inside a city, all roads are owned by the city. * Outside, cities may build their own routes between towns. Player's roads can be solo or shared (for extra cash). * We have several types of station. * Bus stops can be indented if space to make it look nice and pretty * ChrisCF has a sadistic problem with bicyclists. * Bus stops should not block the traffic. * VOTE: Are we going to add traffic for visual effect? Quick poll, yes/no. RESULT: Yes: 3, No: 2 - 2.3 [RFD] Trams * VOTE: Trams should run on: A. Light rails only. B. Light rails and normal rails C. Light rails, build into roads only. RESULT: A:2 B:3 C:0 ChrisCF: Since we didn't get a 2/3 majority, we have to take it to a dev forum poll, and then to a gen forum poll if that doesn't resolve it. - 2.4 [RFD] How are docks constructed * H accepted, without any objections. - 2.5 [RFD] Finding routes & services * As guidelines the questions in PjayTycys post on tt-forms was used. (http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=253034#253034) There you can read all options. * VOTE: 1) At what frequency should new passengers be created? RESULT: Not relevant yet * VOTE: 2) Should passengers be created & consumed by buildings or by cities? RESULT: A (Buildings => They have a location in the city, and will start their journey there. ) * VOTE: 3) Once we know that a passenger will be using the transport network, do we assign their entire route at the start, or dynamically as they go? Yes/no (Yes = A. No = B). RESULT: No clear outcome from several re votes, and reformulating of the question. * It was suggested to close the meeting, and no one objected, so this point was never finished, and we moved on to decision of date and time for next meeting. - Next meeting * Date and time: 2005-03-12 @ 1900 (Saturday) * Chris CF will announce the meeting when Zuu has completed the minutes.
